A limited edition of five pieces, each fitted with a dial cut from genuine ruby and created in collaboration with a local stone artisan.

As no two stones are identical, every dial reveals its own tonal nuances and natural inclusions, making each watch distinct.

Armin Strom Mirrored Force Resonance Ruby

With the new Mirrored Force Resonance Ruby, Armin Strom offers a fresh interpretation of its signature resonance model, pairing the deep red tones of ruby with the exposed mechanics of the movement.

The choice of material is particularly fitting: ruby has long played a central role in watchmaking in the form of synthetic jewels within the movement, where it reduces friction and supports precision.

Protected by a raised sapphire crystal “box” glass, the dial is completed by white printed Roman numerals, adding a classical counterpoint to the watch’s contemporary structural design.

The 43 mm by 11.55 mm stainless steel case remains slender and features a minimal bezel, leaving ample space for the manufacture Calibre ARF21. This hand-wound movement harnesses resonance to enhance precision and reliability while showcasing the brand’s architectural approach to watchmaking.

Entirely designed, developed and produced in-house, the calibre incorporates the patented Resonance Clutch, which synchronises two independent regulating systems and allows the twin balance wheels to oscillate in harmonic resonance.

A pusher at 2 o’clock enables the two running seconds indicators — rotating in mirrored clockwise and counter-clockwise directions — to be reset to zero, allowing the state of resonance to be visually monitored.

Operating at 3.5 Hz (25,200 vibrations per hour), the movement delivers a power reserve of 48 hours via two skeletonised mainspring barrels, visible as they wind simultaneously.

The movement also reflects Armin Strom’s approach to hand-finishing. Hand-polished bevels, black-polished screws, perlage and circular graining enrich the architecture, while Geneva stripes on the reverse enhance depth and contrast.

As with all Armin Strom timepieces, each watch is assembled twice to ensure both mechanical performance and finishing consistency.

Water-resistant to 3 ATM (approximately 30 metres / 100 feet), the watch is paired with a grey Alcantara strap with white stitching and secured by a stainless steel pin buckle.

The Armin Strom Mirrored Force Resonance Ruby, reference ST23-RF, is priced at CHF 85,000. arminstrom.com
