The NWS Columbia SC released a tornado watch at 7:14 a.m. on Thursday in effect until 1 p.m. The watch is for Aiken, Bamberg, Barnwell, Calhoun, Chesterfield, Clarendon, Edgefield, Fairfield, Kershaw, Lancaster, Lee, Lexington, McCormick, Newberry, Orangeburg, Richland, Saluda and Sumter counties.
