Tornado watch in place for the Piedmont region until Monday afternoon

The NWS Raleigh NC released a tornado watch at 8:54 a.m. on Monday in effect until 2 p.m. The watch is for Alamance, Anson, Chatham, Cumberland, Davidson, Durham, Forsyth, Granville, Guilford, Harnett, Hoke, Lee, Montgomery, Moore, Orange, Person, Randolph, Richmond, Scotland, Stanly, Vance and Wake counties.
