Tornado watch affecting the Kansas City area until Saturday night

On Saturday at 2:30 p.m. a tornado watch was released by the National Weather Service in effect until 11 p.m. The watch is for Johnson, Leavenworth, Wyandotte, Clay, Jackson, Platte, Atchison, Doniphan, Miami, Buchanan, Cass and Clinton counties.
