Apologies to anyone tired of hearing about low-rise pants, but as long as celebrities keep wearing them, we’ll keep talking about them. And Karlie Kloss is just one of many chic low-rise-pant wearers among us. Last weekend, Kloss was spotted en route to the World Cup final, and her outfit for the occasion would actually be perfect for a wide variety of occasions, including but certainly not specific to sporting events.
Kloss’s easy three-piece outfit consisted of a baby tee (in this case, a sporty Adidas one), a pair of low-rise pants (in this case, tan ones), and ballet flats. The combination is a success for several reasons, the most noteworthy being that the fitted tee and relaxed pants provide a cool contrast, and the leather ballet flats added a dose of elegance to the outfit that sneakers or sandals may not have. As we close out summer, I predict we’ll be seeing this exact outfit combination on repeat. I, for one, will be joining in.
