India Couture Week 2026 ran across some major shows this season, from a bridal debut to a house’s first presentation outside Delhi. Almost every one arrived carrying more than a rack of clothes. There was a name for the collection, a written note on where it came from, and an account of what it meant, handed to the room before a single garment reached the runway. Travel, craft, memory, a corporate partnership, an entire show reimagined as an exhibition; the notes varied, but none of the six houses let their clothes speak entirely on their own this year.
