Maurice Lacroix has collaborated with Label Noir, a Geneva-based atelier recognised for its work in watch customisation, to create a special version of the Aikon Manufacture Skeleton.
Limited to just 100 pieces, the Maurice Lacroix Label Noir Aikon Manufacture Skeleton adopts an all-black aesthetic, punctuated by vivid turquoise accents.
Measuring 45 mm in diameter and 12 mm in thickness, the case is made of black DLC-coated stainless steel, combining brushed and polished surfaces. The satin-brushed bezel is fitted with six polished arms, a signature element that reinforces the strong identity of the Aikon collection.
Thanks to its screwed-down crown, the watch offers water resistance to 10 ATM (100 metres / 330 feet).
Protected by a sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating, the sapphire dial is treated with a translucent black varnish.
The black hour and minute hands are filled with turquoise Super-LumiNova, while the small seconds display at 6 o’clock features matching turquoise hand and markings.
A turquoise outer ring with black hour markers ensures good legibility at a glance.
Beyond the dial indications, the in-house Manufacture movement, calibre ML234, is clearly visible, revealing elements often concealed from view, including the balance wheel, the openworked barrel and the skeletonised mainplate shaped around five concentric circles.
Operating at a frequency of 2.5 Hz (18,000 vibrations per hour), this automatic movement delivers a power reserve of 50 hours.
The caseback offers a view of the movement through a black smoked sapphire crystal and is engraved with the inscription “LIMITED EDITION of 100”.
The watch is supplied with two straps: a dark grey nubuck strap with a debossed M logo, and a turquoise FKM rubber strap embossed with the “MAURICE LACROIX” signature.
The brand’s EasyChange system allows the straps to be swapped quickly and without the use of tools.
