Bulgari has appointed Laura Burdese as Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 July 2026. The transition was confirmed by Stéphane Bianchi, LVMH Group Managing Director and CEO of LVMH Watches & Jewelry.
Laura Burdese joined the LVMH Group nearly a decade ago. After serving as CEO of Acqua di Parma, she moved to Bulgari in 2022 as Chief Marketing Officer, later becoming Deputy CEO in July 2024.
In this capacity, she has worked alongside Jean-Christophe Babin to oversee the brand’s strategic development across its jewellery, watchmaking, and lifestyle divisions.
Burdese succeeds Jean-Christophe Babin, who will step down after 12 years as CEO of Bulgari and a 25-year career within LVMH, including his previous tenure at TAG Heuer.
Under Babin’s leadership, Bulgari expanded its watchmaking infrastructure and entered the luxury hospitality sector with Bulgari Hotels & Resorts. He also oversaw the expansion of the Valenza manufacturing site and the establishment of the Scuola Bulgari to support Italian craftsmanship.
Following the transition, Babin will remain Chairman of the Bulgari Board, CEO of the Bulgari Hotel Business Unit, and President of the Bulgari Foundation, reporting to Stéphane Bianchi.
With extensive international experience in the beauty, fashion, and watch industries, Burdese holds a degree in International Economics and a Master’s in Marketing and Communication. Her appointment ensures continuity in Bulgari’s strategic direction while the brand focuses on its next phase of long-term growth. bulgari.com
