Omega opens 2026 with a new Moonwatch option, introducing inverted Panda dials that pair black lacquer with white subdials for a striking, high-contrast look. This edition joins the classic Moonwatch lineup without replacing the traditional dial versions.
Housed in the iconic 42 mm asymmetric case with twisted lugs, crown guards, and flat-capped chronograph pushers, the new Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional Black and White models are offered in stainless steel (ref. 310.30.42.50.01.004) or Moonshine gold (ref. 310.60.42.50.01.002).
Moonshine gold, an 18K yellow gold alloy, has a subtly paler hue than traditional 18K gold. Composed of 75% gold, 14.5% silver, 9% copper, and 1.5% palladium, it is highly resistant to fading in colour and lustre over time.
The iconic Moonwatch step dial features a dual-layer construction: the upper plate is polished black lacquer with rhodium-plated subdial frames, while the subdial bases are finished in contrasting white. The inverted aesthetic is reinforced by a white-printed minute track on the main dial and black-printed tracks within the subdials.
All hands and hour markers are rhodium-plated and filled with white Super-LumiNova for optimal legibility.
Each watch is equipped with a black ceramic bezel displaying a tachymeter scale in white enamel.
The dial is protected by a box-shaped, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on the inner surface. Overall thickness measures 13.63 mm.
The watches are fitted with the classic polished and brushed Moonwatch bracelet, featuring Omega’s patented comfort-release adjustment system for a precise and comfortable fit. Water resistance is 5 bar (50 metres / 165 feet).
Powering these timepieces is the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861, which incorporates anti-magnetic alloys, a Co-Axial escapement, and a silicon balance spring—enabling Master Chronometer certification.
The movement also includes a hacking seconds function, allowing precise time setting, and operates at 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour) with a power reserve exceeding 50 hours.
Delivered with a five-year warranty and Master Chronometer certification, these new Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional 42 mm models are priced at €10,300 / US$10,400 for stainless steel and €49,000 / US$49,300 for Moonshine gold. omegawatches.com
