Oris has unveiled the Aquis Pro 1000, a professional and patented diver’s watch offering water resistance up to a pressure of 100 bar, corresponding to a depth of 1,000 metres / 3,330 feet.
Developed in collaboration with diving professionals, this model features a sophisticated rotating bezel enhanced by the patented Rotation Safety System (RSS), which can be locked once set to prevent any accidental adjustment of the minute scale displayed on the ceramic insert during immersions.
The 49.50 mm x 16.60 mm case is crafted from grey-PVD-coated titanium to keep the watch lightweight despite its imposing size, and is equipped with a screw-in crown flanked by two guards.
Protected by a domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating, the dial showcases a blue gradient with a wave pattern.
Large applied indices and hands are filled with white Super-LumiNova emitting green and blue light (used for the minute hand as well as the bezel triangle and first 14 minutes) to ensure easy distinction between the hour, minute, and second functions.
The Oris 733 calibre (based on the Sellita SW 200-1) is a self-winding movement with ball bearing, stop-second device, and instantaneous date, operating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) with a 41-hour power reserve.
A feet-metre conversion scale is displayed on the screwed case back.
The watch is paired with a blue rubber strap secured by a grey-PVD-coated titanium folding clasp with extension and quick adjustment system.
It is delivered with an additional black rubber strap and strap-change tool.
The new Oris Aquis Pro 1000M, ref. 01 733 7801 7255-Set, has a suggested retail price of CHF 3,400. oris.ch
