Parmigiani Fleurier expands the Tonda PF Sport collection with a new interpretation, the Tonda PF Sport Chronograph Silver Verzasca, a high-frequency automatic chronograph powered by the COSC-certified manufacture calibre PF070.
This version follows the inaugural models introduced in 2023, the 2024 variations, and the Cermet model presented in 2025.
The “Verzasca” designation refers to the Swiss valley of the same name, known for its crystalline waters flowing over granite rocks and reflecting light with remarkable clarity. This natural setting is expressed on the dial through a green tone marked by subtle variations and depth, evoking the transparency and shifting reflections of the river.
The 42 mm case, with a thickness of 12.9 mm, combines satin-brushed and polished finishes and is fitted with the collection’s characteristic knurled bezel.
This features 160 incisions, deeper and more pronounced than the finer 225 incisions found on the bezels of the classic Tonda PF models. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres / 330 feet.
The dial is decorated with a hand-guilloché ‘clou triangulaire’ pattern.
Applied hour markers are treated with black Super-LumiNova, while the chronograph counters and peripheral flange are colour-matched to the dial, as is the integrated rubber strap.
The latter is finished with a textile-like texture and a stitched detail recalling traditional saddle-making techniques.
Visible through the sapphire caseback, the manufacture calibre PF070 is an automatic chronograph movement operating at a frequency of 5 Hz (36,000 vibrations per hour).
It incorporates a column wheel and vertical clutch, is certified by COSC for chronometric performance, and delivers a power reserve of approximately 65 hours.
The movement is fitted with a skeletonised 22-carat pink gold oscillating weight, whose design draws inspiration from the steering wheel of the Ferrari 250 GTO.
The Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Sport Chronograph Silver Verzasca (ref. PFC931-1020023-400182) is priced at CHF 28,600. parmigiani.com
