This new edition stands out with a striking salmon PVD-coated mainplate, surrounded by a stainless steel case.
The Ultimate Sapphire Salmon joins a series that utilizes sapphire crystal to showcase the manufacture movement and its state-of-the-art finishes.
Previous Ultimate Sapphire versions have been distinguished by tones of grey, purple, and blue, along with a rose gold option.
Like its predecessors, the new Gravity Equal Force Ultimate Sapphire Salmon is housed in a compact 41 mm stainless steel case with a height of 12.65 mm.
These proportions have established the model as one of the most wearable creations within Armin Strom’s System 78 collection, a line that embodies the brand’s independent spirit and focus on accessible haute horlogerie.
At the heart of the watch beats the Manufacture Calibre ASB19 , incorporating a patented stop-work declutch mechanism directly inside the mainspring barrel, together with a compact micro-rotor.
This construction ensures a constant and stable delivery of energy to the balance wheel throughout the entire 72-hour power reserve, a solution designed to maintain optimal isochronism and improve timekeeping precision.
Operating at a frequency of 3.5 Hz (25,200 vibrations per hour), the 202-component, 28-jewel calibre displays the hours, minutes, small seconds, and a power-reserve indicator.
The regulating organ features a balance wheel equipped with four regulating screws. The movement is visible from both sides through anti-reflective sapphire crystals, allowing full appreciation of the technical layout and the micro-rotor’s efficient winding.
True to Armin Strom’s philosophy, the movement is finished entirely by hand in the Biel/Bienne manufacture. The bridges are bevelled and polished, the screws receive a mirror polish, and the surfaces carry Geneva stripes, circular graining, and perlage.
The salmon-toned mainplate was created in collaboration with independent watchmaker Kari Voutilainen and features a distinguished hand-guilloché motif that catches the light with remarkable refinement.
The offset grey sapphire dial contributes to the sense of transparency and depth, giving an uninterrupted view of the equal-force barrel and the movement’s symmetrical lines.
The rhodium hands are faceted and polished, with Super-LumiNova ensuring legibility in low light.
Offering water resistance to 3 ATM (30 metres / 100 feet), the watch is paired with a grey nubuck strap secured by a stainless steel folding clasp, balancing elegance with everyday comfort.
