An 84-year-old woman in Pieria, northern Greece, has fallen victim to a telephone scam, losing cash, jewelry and valuables worth more than €50,000 after a woman posing as an accounting firm employee falsely claimed the assets needed to be recorded to avoid a tax penalty.
