YUBA CITY, Calif. — Yuba City police are investigating a robbery at a jewelry store inside the Yuba Sutter Marketplace where masked suspects stole up to $250,000 worth of jewelry. The robbery happened at approximately 2:33 p.m. on August 7 at the store located at 1215 Colusa Avenue.According to the Yuba City Police Department, multiple masked suspects entered the jewelry store and used sledgehammers to smash display cases before stealing a significant amount of jewelry. The suspects fled the mall immediately following the robbery.No one was hurt during the robbery. A vehicle believed to have been used during the robbery was located a short time later, abandoned outside of Yuba City, and was determined to have been previously reported stolen.The victim provided a preliminary estimate of approximately $200,000 to $250,000 in stolen jewelry. The final loss remains under review.This is the second robbery of a jewelry store in Yuba City within the past month. Detectives are actively investigating and following up on available evidence and leads.No arrests have been made at this time.
