Tornado watch affecting the Kansas City area until early Saturday morning

On Friday at 8:18 p.m. a tornado watch was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until Saturday at 4 a.m. The watch is for Johnson, Leavenworth, Wyandotte, Clay, Jackson, Platte, Miami, Adair, Buchanan, Caldwell, Carroll, Chariton, Clinton, Daviess, DeKalb, Grundy, Howard, Linn, Livingston, Macon, Mercer, Putnam, Randolph, Ray, Schuyler and Sullivan counties.
